Due to recent floods that hit my province of Alberta, Canada I'll be launching my fund raising campaign in August up to December this year. This devastation around have caused a lot of griefs as homeowners are trying to cope with the recuperation and the burdening chores of rebuilding. The province have come together in great support than ever and help as much to all the victims. The Comics For A Cause campaign couldn't come at a better time and I wanted to reach out and give back to the community. Part of the campaign is to sell CFAC special edition comics and t-shirts and will be doing a circuit of visiting local stores to raise awareness and also give away sketches. I have a lot of supports from friends and colleagues in the comics business who will be coming with me to visit the stores and to give a helping hand on the promotions and some will give away their sketches.
In time like this, HEROES are borne. This is not close to how we read and imagine in comics, where super-heroes come to the rescue. The reality is, that heroes are among us, in us and as part of our humanity, we lend a helping hand to those around us who are in most need our help.
This special book contains several short stories of heroism and though it's a collection of any heroes a readable comics can provide, this book I'm dedicating to all the HEROES in our community who have given their supports unconditionally.
YOU are my HEROES! THANK YOU!
